10. 1982 - Riff tape from Ron's Garage in Norwalk, Ca. (14:34) |
From a secret show (and yes, this was actually his second gig).
The sound drops out for a moment at 1:18 of track 1.
The band were plagued with technical problems during "Master of Puppets," and the sound goes out during their first 2 attempts at playing it. They get through the whole song the 3rd time, although there's a portion of the song where there's no guitar, so the crowd just sings along.
It sounds like there's some tape distortion at 2:26 of track 4, and at various points throughout track 7.
The guitar solo includes The Munsters theme (which starts around 1:50).
The audio stops at 1:20 of track 9 for a few seconds (this is before they start "Am I Evil?," so it's just during crowd noise).
Track 10 is a long track of several short instrumental rehearsal snippets and includes some audio of Lars working out riffs vocally. The italicized text in the above tracklisting is actually how the song is listed on the bootleg.
